The following two photos are apparently not of 42-28870. Note the mirror on the windscreen and the lack of a dust cover on the right main gear wheel hub. The photos are included here to show the color scheme of the "Lil' Tuffy" nose art. Lt Cox may have had the Lil' Tuffy artwork repainted on 42-28870 or it may be that the cowling panels with the nose art on them were salvaged from the aircraft below and mounted on 42-28870 in a manner similar to the way 42-26860 got its nose art. If that happened, then at some point the yellow nose blaze pattern was probably painted around the nose art to cover the black ID ring and match the rest of the aircraft.
